2018 Members Showcase Winners

The HGB 2018 Juried Showcase was exhibited October 30-November 4 at the Handweavers Annual Show & Sale, at the Boulder County Fairgrounds. The Showcase included work from 18 member artists in the guild. The show was juried by Elfriede Gamow (Ph.D., MCDB CU Boulder, 1968) and owner of Elfriede’s Fine Fabrics for over 40 years in Boulder. The theme for this year’s showcase was “Reflections on Climate Change.”

Thanks to the Citizen's Climate Lobby and ArtParts Creative Reuse Center for their support.

The Juror’s Prize and Citizen’s Climate Lobby Prize were awarded to Amy Mundinger, for her art quilt “One World, One Chance.”

Art Parts Creative Re-Use Center awarded a $25 gift card to the piece that used recycled materials most creatively, awarded to Ginny Lawlor, for her weaving “Poison Plant.”

The 2,000 visitors to this year’s HGB Show & Sale were encouraged to vote for their favorite entry in the Showcase. The People’s Choice award was given to Melody Money for her art quilt “Lake Reflections.”
