End of Summer HGB Community Outreach Opportunity

Dougherty Museum - South of Longmont on Hwy 287

• For the past 12+ years, members of HGB have been demonstrating handwork (weaving, spinning, and more) at this free to the public show about rural life 100 years ago.
• In addition to demonstrations and working exhibits, there will be displays of antiques, farm machinery and tractors. This year celebrates the 75th Anniversary of Gibson Manufacturing Company.  Gibson operated facilities in Longmont, CO and Seattle, WA manufacturing tractors and railroad speeders.
• If you are a HGB member interested in demonstrating a hand fiber technique for the public with this Guild group, please contact president@handweaversofboulder.org or Debi Dodge.
• Friday and Saturday, Aug. 27 & 28 8am-8pm and Sunday, August 29 8am-3pm (you do not have to be there the whole time!) This is a great outreach opportunity for HGB - participate or stop by!
