In-person Worksop: Tortilla Basket with Shirley Eichten Albrecht

  • Materials fee: $40 
  • Prerequisites/Experience: No previous weaving experience is necessary.

What to bring to the workshop:

1. Materials fee:

Please bring $40 CASH for the material fee that will be collected at the workshop. Also, materials for making additional baskets will be available for purchase.  

2. Optional tools to bring:

We will have tools available to share; but if you have any of these items, please bring them with you :)

 - Needle nose pliers with narrow nose

 - Gardening Pruning sheers

 -  Awl

 -  Weave Rite packing tool

 - Apron 

 - Old towel


3. Lunch and snacks:

The farmhouse house has a kitchen with a microwave and a refrigerator that you may use.  There is also King Soopers that is about a 5-minute DRIVE from the farmhouse (1.4 miles).

Generally:

The Goodhue House is located just west off Highway 287 and 0.7 miles south of the Dillon Road/NW Parkway. Turn right (west) at the first traffic light where the railroad tracks cross Highway 287. Follow the dirt road to the white farmhouse. Parking lot is on your left by the farmhouse. 

From Boulder:

Take Arapahoe, Baseline, or South Boulder road to Highway 287 and turn south (right). After passing the Highway 42 intersection, the next large intersection is Dillon Road/NW Parkway.

Continue 0.7 miles on Highway 287 and take your first right turn at the traffic light where the railroad tracks cross Highway 287.

No address is visible from the road although you will soon see a Rock Creek Farm sign.

The white Goodhue farmhouse is at the end of the road. The large dirt parking lot will be on your left.

Cancellation/Refund Policy:  Refunds are made only if another or (wait list) person can fill your space.  You must notify Karen Paris by Friday, May 8 if you cannot attend the workshop.  If the workshop is canceled by HGB, you will receive a full refund.
